Reviews and Ratings
I had a pleasant stay at the hotel. The rooms were clean and beautifully decorated, although a bit small. The service was really helpful and friendly, going above and beyond to accommodate guests. The location, looking onto the Museum Gardens of St Olaf's Church, was amazing and within walking distance of the center. The dining experience, while a little on the expensive side, was still pretty good. Overall, a good standard hotel with some minor drawbacks.
My stay at the hotel was quite pleasant overall. The room was simple but very clean, and I really liked the easy access to the garden/patio, even though it needed some maintenance. The location was superb, just a stone's throw away from The Museum Gardens and a short walk to the city center. The staff was incredibly welcoming and added to the warm atmosphere of the place. On the downside, the dining experience was a bit slow and lacked variety in breakfast options.
Staying at this hotel was a mixed experience. On the bright side, the room had a bath with a view of the ancient walls of the Abby, and there was even Netflix available on the television. However, I felt that the price of £190 a night was a bit steep for what was offered.
My stay at the hotel was mixed. The rooms were quite small, and the pillows were very hard, which made it not very comfortable, but there was a lovely outdoor patio area to enjoy. The price was £169, which I felt was a bit high for the level of comfort provided.
My stay at the hotel was lovely! The rooms were really comfy with great beds, warm and cozy atmosphere, and a well-stocked mini bar. I wish breakfast was included in the price and that there were windows for better views, but overall, a good size room for a couple.
Staying at the hotel was a mixed experience. While the rooms had nice cowshed products to try and offered a good amount of space, the layout was inconvenient and the noise from the room above affected my sleep quality. The service was a bit of a hit-and-miss, with helpful staff but some unnecessary charges and disturbances. The location was exceptional for exploring the city center but had a downside of potential noise disturbances. The dining experience was decent, with room service being a convenient option. Overall, the stay had its ups and downs.
I had a lovely time at the hotel. The Scandi feel in the rooms was relaxing, and the staff were extremely accommodating, especially to our friend with a foot injury. The room was clean, well-furnished, and comfortable, although a tad smaller than expected. The location near the museum gardens was fabulous, providing a beautiful walk into York.
The hotel is ideally located, close to major attractions in a peaceful area. The rooms were cozy but a bit noisy due to street lights and other guests. The staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly, with a unique touch of having dogs at the reception. The dining experience was good overall, despite some overpricing. The location is convenient, with easy access to the city center and public parking nearby.
The hotel had stylishly decorated rooms with a fabulous bath and generous space, but the room was uncomfortably hot despite efforts to adjust the radiator. The service was generally friendly, with helpful staff providing recommendations but also promoting expensive limousine services. The location was excellent, a short walk to the city center and surrounded by beautiful parks and quiet streets. The dining experience delivered breakfast to the room in a picnic bag, although some items seemed underwhelming. Overall, a pleasant stay with some room for improvement.
My stay at the hotel was quite pleasant overall. The rooms were spacious and nicely decorated, although there were some maintenance issues like a wet patch on the floor near the fridge and stained pillows. The service was exceptional, with staff going out of their way to assist us, especially with finding disabled parking. The location couldn't have been better, just a short walk from the city center through the beautiful Museum Gardens. The dining experience was good, but the timing of breakfast may not suit early risers. The facilities were clean and well-kept, contributing to a comfortable stay.
The hotel had beautifully furnished and comfortable rooms, but noise from other guests could be heard. The staff, especially Lisa, were extremely friendly and helpful. The location was excellent, just a short walk from the station and city center. The dining was great but slightly overpriced. Overall, a pleasant stay with minor drawbacks.
